EDC Team Jefferson recently launched focusThrive, a suite of six classes and tools for business owners and potential business owners, each designed to help you and your venture thrive.

One of those programs is focusPlan, which is the new name for EDC Team Jefferson’s popular ten week Business Planning Course. The course is offered twice a year, and registration is now open for the fall session starting September 17th. The course provides comprehensive training in all aspects of starting and running a business, including cash flow, marketing, and procuring capital.

Many local businesses (including the CoLab) are alumni of this course, and established business owners have also found the course valuable, especially when looking to grow or expand their business into a new area.

New with focusThrive is an exciting opportunity called focusCEO. EDC Team Jefferson has partnered with The CoLab to offer one to six months of free co-working membership to graduates of the business planning course. Participants are able to use The CoLab as the place to focus on being the CEO of their new venture, as well as receiving additional support from EDC Team Jefferson while following through on their plan to launch or grow their business.

This partnership is especially exciting as it offers cash-strapped entrepreneurs the opportunity to experience co-working at a crucial juncture when they can leverage the benefits of a professional setting away from the distractions of home, along comradery and networking opportunities, to build long term success.
